Turkcell’s network and Artificial Intelligence (AI) teams have recently held a live demonstration of their ‘5G Remote Driving’ project, in an Eatron smart autonomous driving vehicle. As connected and autonomous vehicle technologies are evolving and their use is becoming more widespread, features such as low latency and high speed of 5G technology were used for remote driving capability, which is expected to add significant value. Turkcell successfully drove the vehicle in the Gebze Bilişim Valley remotely through the control centre they established at the AI Lab in the Turkcell Küçükyalı Plaza, while also improving driving safety with AI improvements.
